I read this tip in Thriving Family and thought it was such a good idea.
To help a daughter, 3, sleep in her own bed, the mother created a game. Full night staying in her own bed equaled a place moved up on the game board. If she came into the mom’s room she had to move her piece one step back. Once she got to the finish line the daughter could choose a special activity to do.
Personally, I have not had any trouble with my son sleeping in his own bed. The nights he does come in our room, either my husband or I will take him back into his bed and tuck him back in. Only if he is sick does he get to sleep in our room, and only for naps. We didn’t want to start a habit that we didn’t want to keep up.
What do you do to help your child stay in their own bed?
