Soda? Replace sodapop with a healthier substitute.  Kids love bubbly drinks so mix flavored seltzer water with juice or other non sugary beverage.

Treat Day/ Cereal Day.  When I got tired of my children asking for treats and sweets I declared “treat day” and designated Thursday.  Now if I don’t want them having treats I can say “It’s not Thursday.”  Same for sugary cereals.  I picked Saturday since they don’t have school.
