We have a policy at our house to always WASH the tops of canned goods before opening. Dust from the product sitting on the shelf accumulates and can easily get into the food int he process of opening. (Gail Signor)
PUZZLES: How to organize? After you put the puzzle together, flip it over and number all the pieces with the same number. Each puzzle is assigned a different number (or letter) for easy cleanup if the pieces get mixed up. Then, place each puzzle in a zipper lock bag and label bag with puzzle number. Cut out picture from box and number it same as puzzle. Toss away the rest of the box. Saves space too! (Terri Elia)
Another way of saying “DON’T DO THAT” to a child, especially if it is something that could hurt them, is “I love you so much I don’t want you to get hurt (break bones, etc.). Please don’t do that again.” Children are so receptive to the love in this, they are more compliant.
