Tomie dePaola, one of my favorite authors, resonate with me because we are both Italian American. His Strega Nona series shows Strega Nona finding ways to get out of sticky situations!

I read Strega Nona books to my kids were little (they are all in their 30’s now!) They can be a lot of fun to act out!

My daughters and I had the pleasure of meeting Tomie dePaola. He was such a gracious man! Below is an autographed copy of our book fresh off the presses in 2013!

Now grab your kids, sit them down and let the Italian Grandmama read to her your kids and her grandkids!

When you’re finished, use this pattern to have the kids color and make up their own story!
