I stumbled upon The Logan Family Blog, while on Pinterest, and just had to share her post about A Child’s Ten Commandments to Parents by Dr. Kevin Leman.
3. Housework will always be there. I’m only little for a short time-please take time to explain things to me about this wonderful world, and do so willingly.
- This is something I struggle with every week. I like having my house clean and neat. I have learned that no matter how much I clean up and tidy…..it only takes one 2 year old to destroy it in a matter of minutes. I have accepted that a good investment for me is to have a cleaning crew come and clean my house! I would rather pay someone else to clean and enjoy the time with my children.
4. My feelings are tender; please be sensitive to me needs; don’t nag me all day long. (You wouldn’t want to be nagged for your inquisitiveness.) Treat me as you would want to be treated.
- Children like to explore. They like to have freedom. Children are little adults and need their space too. Allow them that space (within reason).
Do you have any personal experience with any of these? If so, please share! Be on the look out for further detail on each commandment!
